Perfume already blew the diaphragms out your faves with the high-octane Western-Japanese electro-pop explosion that is "Pick Me Up," but now they're slowing things down a bit for the single's other a-side track, "Relax In The City."
With all the new releases I dived into last week, I was a little musically burned out and didn't really listen to too much stuff this week. I returned to the ballads from Miley's Bangerz after all these other bitches' new albums reminded me just how savagely Milegend Godrus crushed her competitors this year, and I also got into Yasutaka Nakata's latest J-pop productions.
Over the next week, I have Blood Orange's Cupid Deluxe and Billie Joe + Norah's new Everly Brothers covers album on my "must listen" list, and am also looking forward to clogging my ears with some random Christmas music and K-pop.
J-poppers and K-poppers, I have some good news, and then some more good news! Firstly, Perfume'sLEVEL3 album has just topped the Oricon weekly chart, making it the trio's fifth consecutive album to do so.
Since the second Perfume'sLEVEL3 leaked two weeks ago, my Twitter and Gmail have been blowing up with demands for a Perfume post. I actually can't remember the last time I had so many requests to write about an album. Perfume stans go hard, y'all.
