I can’t believe I’ve never done a proper post on Year 7 Class 1 because they’re amazing and I’ve been completely in love with them for a while now. They’re like Lovelyz with the bad girl edge of Stellar, media playing everything from bullying to flashing their panties on stage.

Their scandalous upskirt choreography comes from their perfect single “Always,” which sounds exactly like an old Girls’ Generation b-side and features a point dance that has the members lifting up their skirts to reveal their underwear.

Although “Always” tanked, the choreography became a hot topic online and produced countless fancams that teetered on Hani-style viral stardom but never quite crossed over.

Now, over a year since its initial release, “Always” has been reissued with a brand new music video (well, two brand new videos if you include the ‘Dance Ver.’).

With its innocent concept, throwback sound, and underlining sexuality, “Always” is more on trend now than it was when it first came out. If Lovelyz did this, it’d be a hit for sure.

I’m not sure if “Always” will finally catch on now (probably not), but I hope it does something for the group and at least yields some more fabulous live performances.

By the way, it looks like they’re about to advance into Japan?

If you want more Year 7 Class 1, then you should also check out their goofy AKB48 rip-off “Break Up Hwaiting” and their addictive cover of the 1988 hit “White Wind” (and their legendary live stages).

Enjoy.
