The new SHINee album wasn’t quite as good overall as the legendary Everybody EP, but I’m beyond obsessed with both “View” and “Odd Eye.” I gave the latter its own post, so I was trembling with excitement when I saw that SHINee finally performed the song as part of their goodbye stage.
I don’t even know what to say about it because everything was just so perfect.
Girl, when Taemin swivelled his hips… I lost control.
I seriously can’t get over their visuals and stage swag, especially Taemin and Jonghyun. (I’m ignoring the fact that Key looked like Beavis & Butthead’s anorexic one-eyed Asian triplet.)
It’s strange that such a great song from such a talented, marketable, good looking group is, for the most part, restricted to Asia. SHINee’s clearly the best boy band in the world right now and their white American equivalent would probably become the cool, critically-acclaimed version of One Direction (the All Saints to 1D’s Spice Girls), but because of language barriers and their race they’ll never be a global act. The only consolation is knowing that you to get enjoy something so good while all the losers that don’t listen to K-pop have to make do with Meghan Trainor and 1989 era Taylor Swift.
Also, here’s the official fancams of the male version of f(x)’s Sulli, Krystal, Victorial visual trinity, Taemin, Jonghyun, Minho.
