I don’t know what it is about Mariah Carey, but I’m always underwhelmed by everything she releases until a few months down the line, then I start to belatedly stan. Obviously “Triumphlop” remains atrocious, but stuff like Memoirs of An Imperfect and that song about hashtags eventually became amazing. I think my initial disdain stems from Mariah being so flawless that my standards are incredibly high, and Mariah being such a hot fucking mess that her foolishness overshadows the good stuff she does.
Anyway, Queen Mimi’s been out of the spotlight since injuring herself on the set of an unnecessary THIRD music video for Miguel’s hit, “#Beautiful,” back in early July, but now she’s all healed and ready to go with her next single, “The Art of Letting Go.”
In a Facebook post, Mariah wrote: “I couldn’t be more thrilled to announce that my brand new single “THE ART OF LETTING GO”, will be released here exclusively on my Facebook page on 11.11.2013!! This song is so personal to me and I’m very excited to share this experience with you in such an intimate way.”
I can’t wait to see Mariah rubbing baby oil into her tits while singing and bouncing naked on a trampoline in the music video for this “personal” song.
In other news, Meemoo recently fired her manager and replaced him with Jermaine Dupri. Yes, the Jermaine Dupri. Has this woman not seen the Billboard sales of 20 Y.O. and Discipline before?
