In the entire history of Korea’s Gaon Chart, there hasn’t been a top three more flawless than this week’s.
f(x) have scored their fourth No. 1 single as “Rum Pum Pum Pum” rockets straight to the top in its first week. The incredible Brown Eyed Girls –who I actually thought were flopping on the digital charts–follow in second place with “Kill Bill.” And last but definitely not least, the legendary Crayon Pop continues to defy all odds, shooting up five places from last week to No. 3 with “Bar Bar Bar.”
Also, both BEG and f(x) broke 2NE1’s “Falling In Love” 2013 first-week sales record.
August 8 will now forever be remembered as the day that three iconic groups with three iconic songs took their place at the top of the world’s most important pop music chart and made history, achieving things that your faves cannot and never will (unless your fave is f(xcellant), Brown Eyed Gods, or Slayon Pope). Gaon should just freeze the chart as it is and never update it again.
